Friends, Bicycles, Runway (Friendship on the runway)

Cycling along the runway
Watching the planes fly by
Strangers, from different worlds
Riding on a one way track
Magical, their lives’ paths crossed
Their friendship’s taking off

This is a flight of a lifetime,
And there ain’t no turning back
This departure’s a venture
And every journey an adventure

*This friendship’s a one way ticket
And we are going to make it
Seats up, hold on tight
It might be a bumpy ride

Strolling down the gallery
Viewing through the lens of memory
Pictures after pictures
Together, in rain or shine
We steered along the runway
Landed on a new stage of our lives

That was a flight of a lifetime,
A whole new beginning
This arrival’s an endeavour
We’ve embarked on another adventure

*This friendship’s a one way ticket
And we are going to make it
Seats up, hold on tight
It might be a bumpy ride

I love the very distinct imagery and the motifs you have involved in the lyrics- nice work Sam!

Hey Shamantha, can I try making a song out of your lyrics? BTW, you might want to consider adding your blog this this wiki (membership to the wiki not required; just click "edit" and add your entry under the "S"). cheers!

Update: Here's the song, as presented at the last songcraft session. If you want to sing your own vocals (I'm sure it'll be nicer than mine) you can download the Minus-One track from the archive.org link (or I can email it to you). Enjoy!
